Areas of Practice
Regina Pisa is the Chairman and Managing Partner of the law firm of Goodwin Procter LLP. With over 900 attorneys, the firm has offices in Boston, Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, San Francisco, Silicon Valley and Washington, D.C. Ms. Pisa is Chairman of the firm's Management Committee and Executive Committee and oversees the Allocations Committee. Ms. Pisa's practice focuses primarily on the financial services area, representing both banks and investment companies. Most recently, her practice has concentrated on mergers and acquisitions of banks and financial institutions, earning her and the firm national recognition and a place among the nation's top bank M&A practices. In addition to mergers and acquisitions, Ms. Pisa represents banks and financial institutions on a wide variety of other matters, including corporate and board governance issues, capital raising, and general corporate and securities law issues. Ms. Pisa is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, as well as Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business.

Ms. Pisa served as a member of the Supreme Judicial Court Nominating Committee, appointed by former Governor Paul Cellucci to select justices to sit on the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. In November 2002, Ms. Pisa was elected to membership in The American Law Institute based on her professional achievement and interest in improving the law. The organization was founded in 1923 to promote the clarification and simplification of the law and its better adaptation to social needs. She is also Co-Chair of Law Firm Pro Bono Project Advisory Committee of the Pro Bono Institute. In December 2002, Ms. Pisa was invited to join The Committee of 200. The Committee of 200 is an international network of women business leaders whose members are prominent entrepreneurs and chief executive officers. Ms. Pisa is a member of the Chief Executives’ Club of Boston. Ms. Pisa is also a member of the International Women’s Forum, The Commonwealth Institute Advisory Board, the Boston Club, the Massachusetts Association of Women Lawyers, and the Women’s Financial Services Network. Ms. Pisa is a member of various bar associations, including the American Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Boston Bar Association and the Women’s Bar Association.
