JD/MBA
Good for you.
We appreciate the extra hard work you’ve done and are pleased to offer a $20,000 signing bonus to every first year JD/MBA associate who accepts an offer with us. With an MBA you are, of course, in a terrific position to practice business law.
For JD/MBAs who go into business law, you’ll be well-supported here by people who appreciate your legal and business skills. You’ll have a number of different practice areas to choose from at any given time, including intellectual property, real estate, private equity, and others. We’ll provide you access to some of the most compelling and interesting work in business law. To find out more about our business law practice areas, click here.
Goodwin Procter’s litigation practice is not just an adjunct to our business law department. It is a strategic practice area with many subspecialties. As a litigator here, you’ll do more than protect the interests of our business law clients. You will have opportunities to pursue additional cases that interest you, and to go after precedent-setting issues including patent litigation, white collar crime, and products liability. We think that flexing your litigating muscles (and your mind) makes you a better lawyer. We believe that broadening our reach makes us a healthier firm with a higher level of expertise.
If you’re not a JD/MBA, but you’re considering this option, we think it’s a very smart business move. An MBA program allows you to work collaboratively in teams and learn in an environment with people who aren’t lawyers. You’ll graduate with a better understanding of the intricacies between business and law. When you begin looking for the right place to start your career, we would love to hear from you.
